BONE / SNAWKLOR / RATSAK

Monday Night Mass. Free.

The killer BONE play their first show for 2012, before they disappear again for a while by the sounds of it. CHECK THEM OUT WHILE YOU CAN.

BONE is an Australian post-hardcore band formed in Perth in 2006. They have a raw, noisy, groove based sound that has been compared to early 90's noise rock bands like Shellac and The Jesus Lizard, as well as more contemporary 'math' acts like Battles and Oxes.

SNAWKLOR is a decade long musical collaboration between visual artists Dylan Martorell and Nathan Gray. Snawklor as a duo make improvised electro acoustic music and sound installation with whatever is at hand exotic instruments, field recordings, toys and electronics. As a trio with Duncan Blachford on drums they explore the possibilities available only in louder volumes.

RATSAK is a new band featuring Mark Groves (True Radical Miracle/Dead Boomers, Harriet Hudson (Circle Pit/Downtown), Kirk Scotcher (Kromosom/Bloody Hammer), and Jared Styles (Flesh Word/The Zingers).

Long-serving Melbourne collective who continue to challenge the limits of sound w/ synths, drums, whatever else can be used to make ecstatic noise.

PAUL KIDNEY EXPERIENCE with MANI NEUMEIER

ICEAGE PRODUCTIONS are proud to present the launch of the new Paul Kidney Experience album "PAUL KIDNEY EXPERIENCE with MANI NEUMEIER".

This is the 5th release for Melbourne Psych/Noise/Jazz/Drone/Rock outfit the Paul Kidney Experience. Mind melting psychedelic mayhem unfolds across this 4 track album featuring the drumming prowess of 70’s Kraut Rock legend Mani Neumeier of Guru Guru. Recorded live at 3PBS radio station in Melbourne this improvised set is full to the brim with frenetic riffage overlaid with the banshee like howlings from the high priest of musical carnage Paul Kidney. Although inspiration may well have derived from the likes of Sun Ra, Coltrane, or The Stooges this album (as with all P.K.E. releases) often seems peerless and from another dimension altogether.

With special guests: SNAWKLOR.

Snawklor is a decade long musical collaboration between visual artists Dylan Martorell and Nathan Gray.

Snawklor as a duo make improvised electro acoustic music and sound installation with whatever is at hand exotic instruments, feild recordings, toys and electronics. As a trio with Duncan Blachford on drums they explore the possibilities available only in louder volumes.

GOODGRIEF COMMUNE

GOODGRIEF COMMUNE

An Eventual History of Longue Durées

Endless Melt presents Goodgrief Commune’s debut release An Eventual History of Longue Durées: a punk-primitive free-noise triple cassette documenting the Melbourne via Tasmania faux-skronk aesthetic in all its harmonically oversaturated glory. Evidence of many inner-city days spent indoors, hitting record on a found cassette recorder, exuding shambolic sonics to be captured on a stack of found cassette tapes; and rolling till the spools ground to a halt. The results were crudely spliced together, bound up in a monstrous collection, and are now available by masquerading as an album.

An Eventual History captures a polyphony of mutant heart-wrenchers and hissed-out freeform beauty – if you can hear it amongst the scree, clatter and clang.
